I gave this one star due to the FACT this item does not come with a speaker grill if mounted for front fireing! Polk tells you there is one comming but no where to be seen to order. Sure I can get a CAR speaker grill for it but I paid excellent money for this SUB and it should of came with a grill.
So far it has very excellent low end but I’m not the high end music lover..I don’t like that the bottom/back/side has the connectors with lights. the blue light that says Polk can be turned of and that’s fantastic. I wanted Polk due to all my other speaks are Polk as well Lsi9′s. The GRILL is very vital how can Polk skip the grill?
I bought this as an upgrade to a $40 6yrs ancient 8″ pioneer sub. This sub does not even match the performance. If you don’t have a Sub then this is an OK sub but it’s not worth more than $100, IMO. I am very disappointed and I can’t help but feel as if I was Polk lied to me. The features are nice. Auto on/off is a nice touch, the remote is cool but I am a set it and forget it guy so a remote is just one extra remote on the coffee table. Polk Claims that you have the option to mount it forward facing but this is a LIE! The speaker is unfinished with nasty “snot looking” glue on it. It’s just overall HIDEOUS so you have no choice but to mount it facing down. Also the IR receiver will now be on top and render the remote USELESS. The features are cool but people buy subs for sound and that what I rated it.
This is an awesome Subwoofer. The bass is extremely tight and musical and it really complements my Home Theature system. In 2.1 mode for music listening the stereo imageing is flawless. You cant go incorrect with this product. With HD-DVD movies it’s like you are there.
Ive had this product for a year now and its just sick. I have a 20 ft by 15 ft room and it cranks very well! i am listening to it now and like it. the best part is the remote. When i listen to news on my tv or movies then music I can easily turn the sub up or down to my liking. Its got its own built in amp so theres no mistaking that i could blow it. its very nice and i am going to buy a second for the upstairs room! wicked nice
Im very pleased with this sub..warm and natural on acoustic music…tight and defined on digital sources…just right and just the right size!!
