I was going to buy this product, it seemed like nice leather cover, then, I looked at all the photos and noticed that this product has leather pockets on the inside instead of the outside. That is just a dumb design mistake. Even if one does not fill the pockets with junk, the pocket will undoubtedly scratch the surface of the iPad when the lid is closed. Can’t even start to imagine what would happen if you were to fill those pockets with stuff as it is shown on the pictures. Sure, you can stick one of those clear thin plastic layers to the iPad glass but then the layer itself will get scratched and may need to be replaced often. The only thing I can suggest to fix the problem is to buy a small 8×10 soft cloth and insert it in between the glass and the cover. Then you can use the cloth to clean the iPad, better yet, the cloth should be included by the manufacturer.

I bought this case and I’m very glad I did. The case looks so professional, I could take it anywhere with me including vital client meetings. It serves all my needs. It is a perfect fit for my iPad. I will recommend this case to anyone.

  3. Like the real leather and side pocket holders for business cards. Fatal flaw is in the fact that this cover will not stop the Ipad from slipping out the top. No straps or security feature to keep your small jewel in place if you don’t carry it with your hand over the top opening. I already accidentally had the Ipad slide out once, but fortunately I was on a carpeted floor. It doesn’t function well as a standalone stand, either. I use an adjustable $9 easel from Walmart that works fantastic for portrait or landscape positioning with the Ipad still protected by this case. Charging/sync port is also accessible using this set up. A fantastic looking combination for my office and home setting.

  4. When I bought this there were not many iPad cases available. I was gave in based on lots of positive reviews. Nowadays, I am beginning to learn not to trust overly positive reviews on Amazon. The companies probably write these glowing reviews themselves.

The largest disadvantage of this case is that you to make sure that you don’t hold the case upside down ever. The iPad will slip right off. They should have included some mechanism to prevent that.

The second negative is that it has a pouch on the inside flap, which can abrade the iPad glass with prolonged use. Not sure why they had to place in anything there.

The third negative is that you cannot position the iPad in several angles (as with the official case).

After two weeks of using this, I wanted to buy the regular Apple case but that was backordered.

i’ve had mine for over a month now, and i’m perfectly fine with it for what it’s worth.

    - the smell? it goes away. a groundbreaking new product tends to smell, like a new car, and people place up with it until it fades. maybe it’s not genuine leather, but i’m glad it’s got some padding b/c i was not about to get the apple case that seemed too thin to me.

    - so it’s not the closest, most snug, perfect fit. i agree that there should be a more secure top to it, but if you’re already buying an expensive piece of technology, don’t you already try and take care of it and how you handle it, no matter what case you buy? if you know it’s open at the top, maybe just be aware of holding it properly, it’s not that hard.

    - i’ve left things in the card slot and no scratches are made. the ipad was already made with a pretty thick screen shell.

    - i agree with the reviewer that suggested just adding a velco sticky to the top back of the ipad to secure it to the case. simple fix.

i don’t know, maybe i’m just not a huge complainer about things that aren’t completely perfect, but i’m really pleased with this product. for spending about $20 (when it was cheaper) on something like this, i’m not upset with it. yes, it has flaws, but i’m not gonna weep over $20.
